Our standard edge is a double 45 degree. It's a 45 to the inside with a slight back cut to the outside to help seat the head better and make tuning easier. The width of the actual edge is 1/32" and it's lightly sanded to blend it in with the inner and outer cuts.
Other types of profiles are available, such as a single 45, full roundover, roundover to the outside with a 45 to the inside, etc.
Besides cutting the edges on your new RAW Stacked Shell segment shells we can also give your favorite drums new edges to drastically improve their sound and playability.

BEARING EDGES
To cut or re-cut bearing edges
$20 per snare or tom up to 14" diameter.
$30 per tom or bass drum over 14" diameter.
SNARE BEDS
To cut or re-cut snare beds
$20 per snare shell
As well as adding a snare bed to your new RAW Stacked Shell segment snare shell we can also re-cut the existing snare bed on your current snare drum. This will give it more snare response and greater sensitivity.
Our standard snare bed is 1/8" deep with a 2 1/2" "flat" which tapers up to meet the bearing edge. The overall length of the bed is 6 1/2". We can also cut the bed to any depth and shape that you want.
